Below is a general list of questions that we often receive from customers:
  • Do I need a computer?
    NO, we can send you a paper list to complete and for a small fee, we can enter this list for you including any images you wish to send.
  • Do I have to Download the software?
    NO, as explained on our Buy the product now page, we can send you a full CD Version and Product Key in the post.
  • How long does it take to do an Inventory?
    This depends on the contents of your home and how thorough you want to be. We suggest use the software to its full potential.
  • What equipment do I need?
    You’ll only need a basic PC with Windows, along with a standard internet connection.
  • What if I don’t have these?
    Not an absolute must, but generally more helpful and cheaper. Please see Do I need a Computer? and Do I have to Download the Software?
  • What if I want to give this software as a present for a Birthday or Christmas?
    No Problem, just one call to tell us the recipient’s details, we do the rest, we’ll even giftwrap and enclose a card with a personal message from you.
  • How do I pay the yearly subscription?
    This can purchased either via the Internet or by phone.
  • Can I pay by cheque?
    Yes, we accept most types of payment including Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Cheque , postal order and even cash (to be sent via recorded delivery only).
  • If my house was to burn down, how long does it take to get my list to me wherever I may be?
    We can provide your list to an address of your choice within 48 hours, once you have answered and we have verified relevant security questions.
  • What happens if my computer crashes and I lose all my data?
    If you have lost the data as well as the software program, simply re-download the application and enter your product key provided upon first activation. Then give us a call, and we can get a back up copy of your inventory to you (providing you have uploaded your inventory to us and are up to date with your yearly subscription).
  • What if I lose or forget my username and product key?
    Simply ring us on 0870 224 7233, answer our security questions and then your Username and Product Key will be sent to you.
  • What happens if someone does get hold of my list?
    Nothing, because the data, when backed up to ThecontentsSafe it is encrypted and password protected, so that no one else can read it. It cannot be loaded onto another PC and remember it does not include any of your personal data.
  • How do I send a written Inventory to you?
    There are two ways. Create a full report, print this report out, then send it to us in the post quoting your Product Key OR complete the paper list version as mentioned previously and send to us also in the post.
  • What happens if I don't renew the annual subscription?
    We will give you the option to renew (up to 30 days after expiry) but should you choose not to, your records will be deleted from our system permanently. Should you wish to renew at a later date, you will need to re-upload your full inventory. Your software will continue to work but without the option of uploading or retrieval of your inventory.
